This post is long overdue! I send at least one email out a week of my secrets to finding cheap flights and mistake fares. I have to admit I was selfishly hesitant to write this post because sharing this information means that the amazing deals will be gone quicker with more people in the know. I do, however, get way too excited when I’m able to help a friend book a cheap deal or mistake fare on a trip they’ve been looking forward to, visit a family member, or check a destination off their bucket list. Also, I would just like to state that all opinions are my own and this is not a sponsored post. So….here you go!

These are the email lists to sign up for if you want mistake fares and great deals on flights:
FREE
PAID (with a free list option)
This is my favorite source, hands down. It is $29 for the year and Scott, who runs it, is incredibly helpful and responds to emails very quickly. He sends out unique flight opportunities that the free versions often don’t offer. He also sends them in a timely manner as the deals come up, whereas the other free sites send them at the same time each day, meaning the deals could already be expired or booked up so soon. If you’re thinking “I don’t want to pay $29 for flight deals,” just compare that $29 to how much you’ll be saving after booking just one deal. He offers a free version of the list, but that only includes about 1/3 of the deals. I’m telling you, the paid version is worth it!

If you have your dates and destination set, check out www.skyscanner.com to see what your best and cheapest options are. Kind of like Expedia, this is my favorite source for finding the cheapest flight options once I have my destination and dates set. Don’t have a destination or dates set and want to be spontaneous? Type “Everywhere” in the destination bar and see what the cheapest options are!
