This is possibly the easiest recipe ever and it’s always a huge hit! This appetizer is best when served warm, so it’s perfect when you are hosting or you can simply bring the ingredients and pop it in the oven at someone else’s home.
Ingredients
- 1 full circle of brie cheese (any size)
- 1 jar of jam (raspberry or apricot – I like the raspberry Bonne Maman jam)
- 1 cup of slivered or crushed almonds
- 1-2 boxes of plain crackers (Carr’s tablewater crackers are great)
Instructions
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. Place the brie in a baking dish or on a cookie sheet. I suggest a baking dish, just in case things get messy, you can just serve it in that. Once the oven is done preheating, place it in the oven. Keep an eye on the brie and wait for it to loosen up before taking it out. You will know it is ready to take out when it feels soft inside. After you take the brie out of the oven, spread the jam on it (generously), and then sprinkle the almonds on (again, generously). Place it back in the oven for about 5 more minutes. Serve in the baking dish or move into a different dish. Things can get pretty messy with the oozing cheese, so it’s best to use cheese knives to get it onto the crackers.
